Always wanted a water view.....

.
You may have heard on the news....Dawson Creek got some serious precipitation on Thursday and Friday which resulted in many flooded streets and basements. This photo was taken from my office window, normally the Creek cannot be seen from there. Thankfully things have improved, but walking around town you can still hear many a sump pump doing what it does best. As for the hiking boots, they have officially graduated from shiny and new. After today's walk on the trail the treads are full of mud from the flood. Tomorrow I am making a phone call for a couple loads of top soil to do a bit of sloping out from the house foundation, you never know when mother nature might send us another 70 mms of rain.

  1. Wow! Beachfront propery. Who'd thought? Dawna's sister Frankie and her husband Dennis from Pouce are stranded in Prince George because of the washouts. They came down to the Singin' Good News Jamboree this weekend. We had a great time together; they left Enderby yesterday afternoon for home. Dawna talked with her tonight when we got home - they are going to wait a couple of days and if the road is still closed, head for Hinton and Grande Prairie to get home. Thanks for sharing your photo.
