This hamlet was full of working residents this morning; a lady working in her garden, a resident trying to warn us to get out of the way of the goats, and then the goat herder on the job. We are finding that the further from Santiago we go, the less time the hamlet residents spend greeting the hikers. Today we saw only one cornfield as we spent most of our journey at higher elevations. The descent into Cee was challenging - the trail was rocky and steep. But the first sighting of the Atlantic Ocean behind a field of heather was spectacular. En route Lisa sprouted a blister and I seemed to have aggravated an old dog park war wound - a torn ligament near the left knee. So we were moving mui slowly as we found the Hotel Larry, our new digs until Monday morning. There is a Sunday farmers market in Cee that is rumored to be well worth attending. Right now we are sitting in the hotel bar eating fresh baked bread and pickled jalepano peppers (we both want to bury the plate of sardines they brought us - what's wrong with a bowl of peanuts) and drinking our first well earned cervasa. So adios for now.
